Salinas (4-5) at Alisal (2-7), 7:30 p.m.
Since starting the season with two impressive wins, the Cowboys have gone just 2-5, having dropped their last three games.
All five losses are to teams that will be in the playoffs. A win on Friday would give Salinas its sixth straight postseason appearance, and a likely first round home game in the CCS Division I playoffs.
Where the Cowboys have struggled is in taking care of the ball this fall, having committed 13 turnovers in their last three games.
A heavy does of Jordan Torres and Eljiah Kirkland is expected Friday. The pair have combined for nearly 1,400 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns.
Alisal has led in five of its nine games. The last two weeks, though, have been a struggle for the Trojans, having been outscored 82-14.
The Cowboys have won the last four meetings between the two Salinas rivals. Look for Alisal to return to the Pacific Division next fall.
