Fabiano Hale

 If it is true that a member of the Cal football coaching staff told the team to handle the situation after Soquel grad Fabiano Hale showed up late for a practice, more discipline should be forthcoming to the player that allegedly threw the punch and to the coach.
 Hale, who rushed for over 2,500 yards and scored 50 touchdowns last year at Soquel, reportedly was cold cocked by a teammate after showing up late for practice.
 Two sources have confirmed this.
 Hale, a freshman, was taken to the hospital after being knocked unconscious.
 Charges could be forthcoming.
 Right now Cal's program is a mess on the field at 1-8 -- winless in the Pac 12.
 This certainly isn't going to improve its image, in terms of recruiting.
