1. Carmel: Put up a season high 62 points with starters on the sidelines in the third quarter.
2. Palma: Four straight wins for the only unbeaten team left in the Gabilan Division.
3. Pacific Grove: Is 7-0 for just the third time in school history.
4. Monterey: An opportunist defense has forced 11 turnovers in its last two games.
5. Seaside: Has had an extra week to gear up for defending CCS Div. I champ San Benito.
6. Alvarez: With a school record seven straight wins, this is the best story of the year
7. Salinas: Has been outscored 68-17 in its last two games.
8. San Benito: Looked like the defending CCS Division I champions last week.
9. Gilroy: Headed for a showdown on Friday against Alvarez.
10. North Salinas: Needs some help if it wants a share of the Pacific Division title.
On the bubble: Stevenson, King City, Christopher.
