Over the last five years, 16 of the 22 football teams among the three leagues in our tri-region have made the playoffs.
Only three teams among the 16 have made the postseason in each of the last five years in Palma, Carmel and Salinas.
Palma and Carmel will meet in the season opener on Sept. 7.
