A promotion could be forthcoming for Lucas Herbst.
The Monterey High graduate is leading the Orioles Class A affiliate in Delmarva in hits (105) through the teams first 95 games.
The left-handed swinging outfielder also leads all active players on the Shorebirds with a .288 average. Herbst is third on the team in runs batted in, has five homers, 14 doubles and three triples.
Herbst, who has been nearly flawless in the outfield, sports a .333 on base percentage and a .399 slugging percentage.
