Monterey football

Is Monterey changing its offense and opening it up through the air?
Unlikely.
However, what the Toreadores did during the Wilcox 7-on-7 Passing Tournament suggests they have the tools to throw the ball more than once a century.
Granted, there is no contact in passing tournaments.
Yet, Monterey beat two perennial playoff schools from San Jose in the tournament. Carter Aldrete and Michael Armstead both looked sharp at quarterback in hitting their targets.
Having a viable passing attack will keep teams from stacking nine in the box. If the parts are there, why not use them on occasion?
