LeCharls McDaniel

The former Seaside High football and track and field standout is beginning his 27th year as a college or NFL football coach -- his 13th at San Diego State.
McDaniel, who won a Super Bowl ring as a safety for the Redskins in 1981, has been the receivers coach at San Diego State for the last seven years.
Having gotten his college coaching career started at Hartnell College in 1986, McDaniel has coached the likes of Kassim Osgood and former 49ers Brett Swain at San Diego State.
A member of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo's 1980 National Championship team, one of McDaniel's teammates was former Carmel head football coach Craig Johnston.
