Xavier Nady

At 34 years old, their wasn't any place for Xavier Nady on the Kansas City Royals roster, even though he was tearing up pitching for the Royals Triple A team in Omaha.
But in Colorado, the Salinas High grad may be a perfect fit.
Signed to a minor league deal, the former Cal All-American could be up on the Rockies roster by the all-star break.
Nady, who was released by the Royals on Saturday, was hitting .310 at Omaha with 11 homers and 43 runs batted in. He had 79 hits in 70 games.
Nady, who once homered twice in one game in Colorado while with the Padres, will be playing for his 10th major league team.
