The recent Carmel High graduate has walked on and made the Stanford men's water polo team, one of the premier water polo programs in the nation.
Sunde, a second team all Central Coast Section goalie last year, was Carmel's co Most Valuable Player last season, recording 101 saves between the pipes.
The 6-foot-3 goalies performance at the Gabilan Division tournament title game helped the Padres snap Soquel's 16-year league winning streak.
