The former Palma High and Hartnell College point guard was named the VEF Riga basketball team Most Valuable Player, propelling them to an Lithuanian League tournament title.
A 6-foot-2 sharpshooter, Rowland was also named the MVP during the VTB regular season and the Aldaris LBL MVP, leading both teams in scoring and assists.
During his collegiate days, Rowland helped lead Hartnell to a state tournament appearance and St. Mary's to the NCAA tournament
