Whitney Massey

 The Alvarez High graduate was named to the All-Region first team for the second straight year for the Big 10 champion Wisconsin softball team.
 The senior left-handed hitting catcher tore up Big 10 pitching this spring for the Badgers, hitting .338 with a team and career high 12 home runs.
 Massey drove in a team high 49 runs for the 43-12 Badgers, with 31 of her 56 hits on the season going for extra bases. Behind the dish, she sported a .987 fielding percentage.
 Massey, who is among the programs leaders in a number of offensive categories, set a Wisconsin school record for doubles in 2012, and has started every game for the last two years
