Salinas-San Benito softball

Four straight league titles, seven straight CCS Division I crowns and a Top 20 state ranking this year.
Oh, and San Benito is unbeaten in Gabilan Division play going into today's season finale at Salinas.
San Benito's resume is impressive.
Yet, if there is a blemish on its season, it came on March 9 when Salinas tagged them with a 4-1 loss.
Granted the Balers bounced back, beating Salinas in another tournament, then blanking them 5-0 in the teams first league game on April 16.
But the Cowboys have beaten San Benito twice in the last two years, both times at the Salinas Sports Complex, where Salinas is 6-0 in league play this year.
While the Balers already have a share of the Gabilan Division title, Salinas can gather a piece of it as well with a win today.
Salinas' Sam Luna and Marissa Bravo have been on fire at the plate while Brittany Hernandez's two-run, seventh inning single on Tuesday set the stage for today's battle.
