Devin Pearson

Spurning the Toronto Blue Jays offer has paid dividends for Devin Pearson, who is second on the Cal baseball team in hitting this spring at .328 in 41 starts.
Pearson, who earned a starting position in the outfield for the Bears, is second on the team in runs scored (25) and third in hits (52) and doubles (8).
A four year starter at Carmel, Pearson has two homers and has been hit by nine pitches. He has played flawless in the outfield, having handled all 90 chances.
Former Stevenson standout Nick Halamandaris has started 26 games for the Bears, having hit two homers while sporting a .970 fielding percentage at first base.
