Three names to watch in Friday's Central Coast Section swimming and diving championships are Stevenon's Joey Luba, Salinas' Nic Clark and Palma's Austin Hassain.
Luba, a fourth place finisher last season in the 1-meter dive, has already attained an All-American Consideration score of over 400 points.
He will go into the diving finals ranked in the top five.
Clark, who is just a freshman, is ranked ninth in the 50 yard freestyle at 21.88. Last week he was a Monterey Bay League champion in two events.
Hassain has a shot at reaching Saturday's finals in two events, as he is ranked ninth in the 100 free (48.04) and 10th in the 200 free (1:45.53).
A sleeper in the girls diving is Salinas' Devon Cooper.
