Palma baseball

The Chieftains pitching staff has been flat out filthy this spring.
In 13 games, Palma's staff has allowed just 15 earned runs.
The Chieftains (11-2), who visit St. Francis tonight at 7 p.m., haven't given up more than three runs in any game this year -- and a county low 21 all season.
The staff is anchored by St. Mary's University bound Cameron Neff, who has six of the teams 11 wins this year. Austin Wahl pitched a gem on Tuesday against highly touted Alameda.
Of course, it helps having support at the plate where Pepperdine bound Jack Ross has 10 extra base hits among his 18 this spring, including three bombs.
And Neff shares the team lead with Ross in multiple hit games (6) and runs batted in with Anthony Payan (12).
Both of Palma's losses this year have been by one run, in which it held an early lead.
