Pacific Grove-Soledad baseball

It's not just an MTAL title Pacific Grove is chasing today when it hosts Soledad for the final time this spring.
The Breakers are also chasing perfection, putting together what is believed to be the longest winning streak in school history at 30 straight and counting, dating back to last year.
The last time Pacific Grove lost was nearly a year ago to the day, falling 3-1 to Stevenson. Two days earlier in 2012, it had lost to Soledad.
Chris Clements and Wes Carswell are a combined 17-0 for the 23-0 Breakers while Carswell and Kevin Teskey continue to tear up opposing pitchers.
Soledad is one of three teams in the tri-league area to have 20 wins, and is within striking distance of scoring 300 runs this spring.
Two of its three loses have come from Pacific Grove by 8-4 and 5-2 counts. Soledad has scored five or more runs in 20 of its 23 games this year.
