MPC-Hartnell baseball

It's been 42 years since Monterey Peninsula College won a Coast Conference title in baseball.
A win today over rival Hartnell at MPC ensures the playoff bound Lobos of no worse than a share of the championship.
The two teams have split their head-to-head battles, each winning on their diamond.
The Lobos (22-13) have had a magical season, one that has included a 19-inning win on Saturday, a game that lasted six hours and 15 minutes.
Garret Woodward has sprayed the ball all over the field this spring for MPC with two bombs. He also leads the conference in saves with nine.
Ty Morris, who spent his first year at CSUMB, leads the Lobos and conference with 28 steals while former Salinas High catcher Jesse White has driven in 26 runs.
MPC will likely face Hartnell's Jake Cabral, who shares the conference lead in wins with six. Robert Wayman is hitting .366 for the Panthers.
