There will be no shortage of scoring options Friday for the South when it faces the North in the Salinas Steinbeck high school all-star boys basketball game at 7:30 p.m.
The leading scorers from Salinas, Stevenson, Monterey, Alvarez, Seaside, Gonzales, Alisal and Pacific Grove will all be on the court at some point tonight.
A game like this enables unheralded players such as Gonzales' Josue Madrigal to showcase his talents along side the likes of Monterey's Chris Russo, Alvarez's Mitch Wood and Salinas' Josef Delk.
Don't be surprised if the South tops the century against a talented North squad anchored by San Benito sharpshooter Michael Breen and Gabilan Division co-MVP Jacob Tonascia.
Of course, Breen and Tonascia have a baseball game with sufficient meaning in the afternoon against Palma first.
One notable absence will be UCLA bound forward Noah Allen of Palma.
