This is starting to look more like the Notre Dame teams of the past that ran off a CCS record nine straight Division III titles between 1998-2006.
Opening the season with nine straight wins was not a fluke. None of this should be a surprise. Eight starters are back -- four of which have already committed to play college softball.
Notre Dame, who visits Gilroy today, has outscored opponents 108-26 in its10-1 start. Four-year starter and University of Delaware bound Giovanna Kolofer has driven in a team high 15 runs.
Elizabeth Ray, who has already committed to Santa Clara University as a junior pitcher, has three shutouts while holding three other teams to one run.
While their one setback was to Soquel, the Spirits are the only team to have beaten the Knights earlier this year.
