Carmel-Soledad baseball

I wouldn't say it's time to panic if you're Carmel.
But it's getting close if the reigning two-time Mission Trail Athletic League champion Padres have aspirations on defending their title.
Falling four games back a quarter of the way through the league season might be too big of a hole to dig themselves out off.
Particularly since the two teams in front of them in Pacific Grove and Soledad have yet to taste defeat all season.
Soledad's record breaking 7-0 start includes a 5-1 decision last Friday at Carmel, in which Daniel Farfan two-hit them.
Aaron Rivera, who tossed three scoreless innings in his last outing, will likely pitch for the Aztecs this afternoon in Soledad.
Since opening the season with a non-league win over Hoover, the Padres are winless in their last four games, with three of those losses having come from Pacific Grove and Soledad.
