The former Stevenson three-sport standout was chosen as softball's preseason Southwest Athletic Conference Player of the Year.
The Mississippi Valley State senior catcher hit .285 last year with eight bombs, driving in 35 runs. Burr's grand slam against Jackson State propelled the Devilettes to a 2012 conference title.
Last spring Burr was named to the all-SWAC and College Sport Madness SWAC second teams.
