Making the four-team Mission Trail Athletic League basketball tournament does not guarantee you a spot in the CCS playoffs.
While the MTAL gets four automatic qualifiers, the fourth place team will play the Coastal Athletic League champion on Friday for that fourth and final spot.
But with the playoffs watered down with so many teams allowed into the postseason party, I believe five MTAL boys teams will make the playoffs.
