MTAL hoops tournament

I get the feeling most coaches were not in favor of tonight's four-team Mission Trail Athletic League basketball tournament.
 And I guess if I'm the regular season champion, I would be as well. Carmel has already won the boys league title. Why does it have to prove itself again in a potential two-game tournament?
 But if I'm Pacific Grove, Greenfield or King City, I'm relishing the opportunity to gain a share of the MTAL title by winning the tournament.
 No one is playing better basketball right now than the Breakers, who visit Greenfield -- a team that has set school records for regular season and league wins.
 Plus the winner of this four-team tournament could get a home game in the playoffs. There's plenty of incentive.
