The former Santa Catalina two-sport standout was named the Midwest Conference Women's Performer of the Week for the Grinnell College women's basketball team in Iowa.
 The 6-foot-2 Briggs has started 21 games for Grinnell, averaging 10 points and 10.5 rebounds a game. She has a team leading 90 blocks on the season.
