Assuming Palma and Seaside get past their opponents on Wednesday -- and that's not a lock -- The Herald's Top Two teams will clash on Friday in a battle of potentially 11-1 teams.
Of course, there are obstacles in both teams' path.
Seaside has a road game with its biggest rival on Wednesday at Monterey, who swept them last year.
Palma will open its Gabilan Division season hosting Alvarez -- likely without UCLA bound Noah Allen, who suffered a wrist injury back on Dec. 21
The 6-foot-7 Allen is not expected to play on Friday at Seaside either. Palma is 2-0 with Allen out.
