What's happened to Notre Dame's stingy defense?
The 68 points it allowed to North Salinas on Tuesday marked the second time in four games that it has allowed 60 or more points.
During last year's TCAL title run, Notre Dame didn't give up 60 or more points in 24 regular season games.
The core of last year's title team is intact. What's missing for the Spirits is some size in the paint -- just one player standing 5-feet-10 and she's just a sophomore.
But tonight the issue for the Spirits could be Seaside's athleticism and quickness.
Sabrina Neal has been a double-double machine while freshman Mariel Tuazon has led the team in scoring during the Spartans first two Gabilan Division games.
This is a more disciplined Seaside team than we've seen in the past.
