Through all the success CSUMB has attained in reaching the NCAA Division II Tournament the last two years, one team that has been a thorn in its side has been UC San Diego.
The Otters are just 1-3 over the last two years against tonight's opponent at the Kelp Bed, with the one win coming on the road in San Diego.
CSUMB is 3-1 at home this year and 35-10 on its hardwood since head coach Renee Jimenez took the reigns.
Having snapped a two-game skid last Saturday, the defending CCAA tournament champion Otters are struggling from the field, shooting just 39 percent.
Brittani Jefferson is averaging just under 10 points a game in the post for the Otters while Gabby Munsch is averaging 8.8 points off the bench.
