It's not too early to call this a big game or a must win. Not if Salinas or North Salinas have title hopes dancing in their heads.
Falling two or three games back with eight remaining would be a tough hill to climb.
Plus I think both teams are still searching for an identity in league.
You can see the potential oozing out of North Salinas, who puts up some 70 plus shots a game. In its two MBL Gabilan Division wins, it's averaging 64 points a game.
Ironically Salinas is exactly where it was at this time last year at 1-2 in league and with 10 overall wins. Its two league losses are by a combined seven points -- one in overtime.
Last year the teams split their head-to-head battles, each winning at home.
