There is a chance that four teams in the MTAL could all be tied for first after tonight if the Aztecs can upset the perennial champion Padres.
 On the court, Carmel is undefeated this year. But a decision to forfeit a game at Pacific Collegiate rather than play it for safety reasons has knocked them from the unbeaten ranks.
 Soledad has scored 60 or more points in all seven league games, while Carmel has held three of its five opponents under 45 points, including Greenfield.
 Freshman John Stivers has caught fire in his last three games, averaging nearly 22 points a game for the Padres.
