Xavier Nady

With two World Series rings and eight major league stops during a 10 year career, Xavier Nady is headed to his ninth team, signing with the Kansas City Royals.
It's a minor league deal, meaning the Salinas High graduate and former Giant isn't a lock to be on a Major League roster.
But I believe this is a good spot for the X Man.
During last year's World Series run, Nady told me he was healthy for the first time in maybe four years. And the 34-year-old said he felt good.
In Kansas City, he'll have a chance to play first base and the outfield. More importantly, the Royals  can use him as a designated hitter to get his bat in the lineup.
Nady hit .245 in his brief time in San Francisco. But he still has power at the plate, having hit his 100th career home run in a Giants uniform.
