This game intrigues me a little.
The Spartans have looked like world beaters in averaging over 70 points a game through their first three games.
Then again so has Monte Vista, who puts its 2-0 mark on the line tonight when it hosts Seaside.
Both are expected to contend for supremacy in their respective leagues.
But neither team has faced a playoff caliber team in the preseason.
In other words, neither program has been tested yet.
Last year the Spartans and Monte Vista split their head-to-head battles when both were in the Monterey Bay League.
