The Pirates got off to their best start in the Matt Arruda era, opening the season with four straight wins.
It certainly helps having Michael Decker back in the lineup.The senior guard missed all of last year after playing significant minutes as a sophomore.
Decker is part of a balanced Stevenson attack that includes Matt McCarthy, who was the tournament MVP in Pescadero.
Through the first five games of this season, five players for the Pirates were averaging 7.5 points a game or better, including 6-foot-4 junior Ryan Hall.
