Palma scores 73 points, Salinas erupts for 61, Seaside 57, Monterey 49, San Benito 43.
What do all five of these teams have in common?
They are all headed to the playoffs. Trust me, all five are locks based on points.
So too is Alisal, who can set a single-season school record for wins next week (8) with a win over North Salinas.
If Soledad and Pacific Grove finish in a tie for second in the MTAL, Soledad would get the second spot by virtue of their head-to-head battle.
But Pacific Grove may have enough points to get in, thanks to beating Christopher, an 'A' league team. What would add another point for the Breakers is if Monterey gathers a share of the Gabilan Division title.
