Otters women's hoops

  Back-to-back 20 plus win seasons has finally put the Otters on the map, as they are the preseason favorites in the California Collegiate Athletic Association.
  The defending CCAA tournament champions have played in the NCAA Division II tournament the last two years.
 The core of last year's squad is back, including senior guards Stefanie Corgel and Jessica Fontenette, as well as Holly Holcomb, who missed most of last year with a torn knee.
 The return of 6-foot forward Brittani Jefferson and her 10 plus rebounds gives the Otters balance going into their conference opener at Sonoma State on Friday.
 If the Otters can survive a five-game conference road trip that will take them into the new year, it will have a favorable second half schedule at home.
