 Granted Castilleja plays in a league that includes Menlo and Sacred Heart Prep, which makes their 4-6 league record somewhat misleading.
 The Gators showcase one of the elite hitters in the section in 6-foot-1 Lucy Tashman, who has 386 kills this fall. In addition, freshman Katya Scocimara compiled 150 kills.
 Castilleja, who defeated Anzar in five games to advance to the Division V semifinals, serves at a 92 percent rate, recording 170 aces this season.
 What makes Notre Dame dangerous is who do you stop at the net? Setter Erin DeSerpa has a handful of hitters to pass to, including Savannah Torres and Emily Cunanan.
 And the Spirits are solid in the back row behind all-league libero Daisy Valladares. The last time the Spirits played for a CCS title was in 2004.
