Monterey-Seaside football

The Toreadores have won three of the last four meetings against Seaside and hold a 25-23-1 series lead going into the 50th meeting between the two peninsula rivals.
While the defenses of both teams have been rock solid, the offenses are polar opposites. The Dores are a ground and pound unit while Seaside uses and aerial assault.
Seaside has been more dominating on the road than at home while Monterey's offense travels well anywhere.

Possible rain forecasted for Thursday night and Friday morning could mean a soggy field and wet ball. If so, that would seem to favor Monterey's offense.

Mr. Devine,
I want to thank you for the great job you do reporting our local football and other sports here in the Monterey County. Especially the reports you've done on my daughter Aleia Lopez, who plays for the Seaside Spartans. She's made history and your the only reporter who's acknowledged her success. I'd like to know. Will she be the only female to ever make it to the preseason and possible CCS? As you know. She's a senior and we are in the process of putting her resume together for the next chapter in her life. Thank you again. I look forward to your next blogg!
