MBL Pacific Division football


Seaside's Michael Turner and Joseph Jakubowsky were named co-Most Valuable Players in the Monterey Bay League's Pacific Division.
 Turner threw for over 2,500 yards and 30 touchdowns for Seaside while Jakubowsky caught 40 plus passes for nearly 800 yards.
 Joining the pair on the first team for the league champion Spartans were receiver Ronnie Turner, linebackers Samson Tonga and Matt Lualemana, defensive back Jelahny Garnett, and defensive linemen Jonathan Tuiolosega and David Maposua.
 Tonga shared Defensive Player of the Year honors with Alisal's Eddy Guzman while Tuiolosega was named the Defensive Lineman of the Year.
 Chosen along with Guzman on the first team for Alisal included linebacker Martino Sandoval, defensive backs Jovan Villalobos and Lorenzo Novoa, defensive lineman Dante Santoyo and Osiel Camacho, and running back Ricardo Muniz.
 North County's Rufino Calderon was named Back of the Year. He also earned first team honors as a linebacker. He was joined on the first team by offensive line teammates Peter Best and Jonathan Servin.
 Chosen from Monte Vista included Offensive Player of the Year Nick Matiasevich and Utility Player of the year David Hightower. Matiasevich was named a first team quarterback and defensive back while Hightower was named as a receiver and defensive back.
 Also selected from the Mustangs were running back Cody Washington, offensive lineman Alex Beltramo, and defensive lineman Connor Parker.
 Rounding out the first team was North Salinas Offensive Lineman of the Year Branden Pena-Ceja and receiver David Dorr, Watsonville co-Back of the Year Roger Contreras, and offensive lineman George Gonzales and Sergio Melendrez.
