Greenfield (3-6) at Soledad (5-4), Friday, 7:30 p.m.
The Aztecs hold the tiebreaker edge over Pacific Grove, should both teams finish in a tie for second in the MTAL. Meaning Soledad is pulling for Carmel to beat the Breakers on Saturday.
Of course, the No. 8 seed in Division IV means a likely meeting with Seaside in the opening round. Last year Soledad faced Palma in the first round.
Two of Soledad's four losses this fall have been by a total of four points.
Jeremiah Murrillo has a shot to go over 1,000 rushing yards in just six games for Soledad. Greenfield has won two of its last three games and has lead in five straight games.
