Salinas-Christopher football

Salinas (3-2) at Christopher (1-5), Friday at Gilroy High, 7:30 p.m.
Squash those concerns about the Cowboys defense.
Salinas has allowed just one defensive touchdown in its last eight quarters. As a result, it's 2-0 in league play for the first time since 2003.
The Cowboys have become a big play team in all three phases with 11 touchdowns of 40 yards or longer, and 18 plays of 30 yards or longer.
Ironically that was Christopher last year en route to an MBL title. The Cougars have struggled on defense, having given up more points this year (192) than all of last season.
