Reggie Topps is on pace to not only record a season high in tackles, but surpass his career totals from his first three seasons combined at the University of Utah.
The senior defensive back has 12 tackles in two games, including eight solo tackles. He is on pace for 66 tackles, which would surpass his collegiate career total of 48 tackles.
Topps, a former three-sport standout at North County, also has one sack and one forced fumble.
Last year he had his first collegiate interception. As a sophomore in 2010, he returned a blocked punt for a touchdown.
