Wednesday recap

Baseball
 Did Salinas overlook Milpitas in being one-hit.
 Top seed Palma falls in the first round for the second time in three years.
 Just one TCAL team is alive, and barely after San Benito edged Sequoia 1-0.
 Eight different players had hits in Carmel's 13-5 win over Sacred Heart Cath.
 Pacific Grove was impressive in its win over Harbor.
 Stevenson was not in a season ending loss to San Lorenzo Valley.
 Monterey nearly blew a 5-0 lead, hanging on for a 6-5.

Softball
 Notre Dame looks lethal after producing 14 runs.
 Clarisa Cortez tosses a no-hitter for Monterey.
 North Salinas gives perennial power St. Francis a battle in its first playoff appearance in four years.
 Justine Armento pitches and hits Salinas into the Division I quarterfinals.
 The magic ran out for Stevenson.
 Carmel closes the season with four straight losses to three teams still alive in the playoffs.

Tennis
 Mason Vierra gains a measure of redemption, defeating his twin brother in straight sets as the CCS Singles finals. Three week earlier, Ben beat Mason at the MTAL/TCAL finals.

Common result: Stevenson and Palma don't throw their aces and it results in one-and-done. Got to win that first game.
