The freshman is showing no signs of hitting the wall, as Ventimilia leads the University of Hawaii baseball team in six offensive categories.
Having started every game this spring, Ventimilia has raised his batting average to a team high .325. He leads the Rainbows in runs scored (33), hits (52), stolen bases (12), walks (32) and at bats (160).
Last year's Herald Baseball Player of the Year for CCS Division II champion Monterey, Ventimilia sports a .966 fielding percentage at second base.
