Without the high jump in her path, Jessica Davis can put her full attention towards the 300 low hurdles at Friday's CCS finals, where she has the fastest time in the section at 44.98.
The King City junior hasn't come within two seconds of that time in the last three weeks, including last week's CCS trials.
At the same time, she hasn't had to.
The key for Davis is hitting that first hurdle in stride.
