While defending girls champion Notre Dame may have a say in three weeks, right now Salinas and San Benito are the two best boys and girls track and field teams in the county.
To upset San Benito, the Cowboys need big days from distance ace Bryan Tena and hurdler Dominik Engel.
I wouldn't be surprised if Iesha Boyd triples and runs the 100, 200 and 400 for Salinas in the girls. The Balers will counter with Vanessa Estrada tripling and running the 800, 1,600 and 3,200.
The Balers may have too much depth.
