Potential draft picks

There are at least a half dozen county athletes that could here their names called in this June's Major League Baseball amateur draft.
 Among them is former Pacific Grove product Abe Ruiz, who leads Arizona State in home runs this year with eight. Ruiz was drafted out of high school four years ago by the Giants.
 CSUMB pitcher Donny Medlinger and outfielder Tommy George have had scouts eying them over the last month, as has Hartnell 6-foot-5 first baseman Marc Flores.
 Stevenson's Nick Halamandaris and Carmel's Devin Pearson have had baseball scouts at nearly all of their games this spring.
