Stev-Sol baseball

Two teams that pose the biggest threat to Carmel's run of supremacy in the MTAL both scored runs at an alarming rate in non-league.
Soledad piled up 46 runs in three games while Stevenson manufactured 36 in two games, eight coming off the bat from Cal bound first baseman Nick Halamadaris.
Both today's MTAL opener could be a pitchers duel between Stevenson's Tucker Forbes and Soledad's A.J. Banuelos, assuming the Aztecs don't save Banuelos for the rematch in Soledad on Friday.
The 6-foot-8 Forbes, who will pitch at UCLA next year, was flawless in a three inning stint on Saturday while Banuelos had three strikeouts in one inning of work last week.
