In three losses this spring, the Spartans have butchered the ball on defense to a tune of 16 errors.
In its three wins, they have committed just five errors.
The pitching staff has promise, as evident by Kyle Hieb tossing six scoreless innings on Thursday.
And the lineup has some pop with returning starters Max Usrey and Matt Lualemana.
This is an athletic group that's still grasping the fundamentals, and the mental makeup of the game. Seaside could be a dangerous team in the second half of the MBL season.
