This isn't the first time two Monterey County athletes have played together in the NFL after Nicks joined Foster in Tampa on Wednesday -- signing the largest contract in NFL history for an offensive guard.
In 1989, North Salinas product and kick returner Del Rodgers played with Hartnell safety Greg Cox on the Super Bowl champion 49ers.
And Monterey alum Ron Johnson was a teammate with North Salinas product Anthony Toney with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Johnson was also a teammate with former Monterey High teammate Herm Edwards for one season in Philadelphia.
