Before moving into the Tri-County Athletic League, the Eagles softball program was on the rise, having put together three straight winning seasons and a Monterey Bay League title in 2006.
In five years in the TCAL, Alvarez hasn't had a winning season since, winning just two games overall last year.
Alvarez has already surpassed that total this year with three. One more win equals its total from 2010.
The likelihood of the Eagles remaining in the upper division of the MBL next year is zero.
