I've got to believe the defending MTAL champion Cougars are opening the season with six straight road games because the field has to be reconfigured from soccer to softball.
A lot is expected from this team. Pitcher Alex Pingree is headed to UC Santa Barbara while catcher Annie Aldrete will be going to Tennessee in two years.
The Cougars ran off 17 straight wins last year before falling in the CCS Division III finals to Capuchino by a run. Seven starters are back. Two talented freshman have arrived.
There is unfinished business.
